It is an honor to announce that Vinson Middle was one of only two middle schools in WV to be named a 2022-2023 PLTW Distinguished School!!
We are so proud of Mrs. Gibbs and all of the incredible opportunities she has given our kids.
This recognition was given based on last year's students (current 9th, 8th, and 7th graders).
Congratulations on being the first ever middle school in our district to receive this award!!

Spring Formal tickets will be on sale starting Monday! Students, please see Jackie in the office during intramurals to purchase. Parents/guardians may also stop in all week from 8:00-2:30 to buy tickets.
Tickets are $10.00 each.
Only middle school age students are permitted to attend. If your student would like to take an escort from another middle school, you will need to submit the students name, school they attend and a phone number for the school. Escorts will be approved by our administrators.

Starting tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, the main entrance to the gym will be closed until Sunday. We are having some Rubberstone installed in front of the doors (like our front entrance). If you need to enter the gym, you must use the cafeteria entrance.

First day of school is tomorrow!! Drop off starts at 7:05 at the cafeteria door! Let’s make it a fantastic first day!
OPEN HOUSE tonight 5:00-7:00!! Students and family will enter through the cafeteria. Each grade will have a table set up with schedules ready to pass out.
Once your child receives their schedule, please feel free to visit the classrooms and teachers.
I ask that if you have any questions about your child’s schedule to please wait until 6:30 as it is usually very busy for the first hour and a half.
If you are not able to pick up your students schedule this evening, NO WORRIES. You can pick it up tomorrow (Wednesday) during school hours or they will receive a copy Thursday.
